Debra Sarah Weed, 68, of Fort Washakie died in Casper on June 18, 2024. A All Night Wake will be held 7:00pm, June 24, 2024, in the Family Home, 459 Trout Creek Road, Fort Washakie, Wyoming. The Funeral Service will be at 10:00am, Tuesday, June 25, 2024 in the St. David's Shoshone Episcopal Mission, 189 Trout Creek Rd, Fort Washakie, Wyoming. Burial will follow in the Weed Family Cemetery.
Debbie was a lifelong resident of the Wind River Indian Reservation. She attended schools at Fort Washakie School, Chilocco Indian School, & Flandreau Indian School.
She was well known for her extraordinary beading talent and cooking abilities. She enjoyed solving and completing puzzles of all types in her spare time. A big portion of her life consisted of being a caretaker. She was known for her patient and caring ways. The last years of her career she worked at the Fremont County Girls Group Home in Lander, WY.
She is survived by her former companion John Guina, Jr.; sons - Thomas Weed, George Guina, Jeremiah Weed-Guina, Jerrel Weed and daughter - Fiona Guina; grandchildren - Delshai Roanhorse, Jaren Guina, Julien Guina, Zachary Guina, Tisso Guina, Quincy Guina, MyaKoda Guina, & Jeremiah Guina; brothers - Wyman Weed, Sr. & Baptiste Weed ; sisters - Roma Jimerson & Georgina Ramirez. Her extended family includes Enos, Osbourne, Tillman, Pingree, Norah, & Wesaw families.
She is preceded in death her parents Herman and Ina Weed, son - John Guina III, Sisters - Nadine Weed, Myra Vasquez, & Eva Mae Nez, Adopted Brother - Raymond Pratt, Grandfather - John Trehero "Bavado".
