William (Bill) Schneider

William (Bill) Schneider, 66, of Lander, Wyoming passed away March 11, 2018 at his home. Memorial Services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 15th in the Chapel of Mount Hope at Hudsons Funeral Home in Lander.

Bill was born to Bill and Ruth Schneider on March 18, 1951. He grew up in Lyons Valley, ranching with his dad through his younger years. He loved working the land beside his dad and kept haying and taking care of it until the end.

Bill was employed by U.S. Steel for years on the railroad out of high school.At that time, he married Fern Snyder, they had many good years until she passed away in 2000.

He was highly skilled in metal fabrications and carpentry skills. He worked for Delozier construction for years and had his own general contractor license.

He married his wife Cindy in 2002 and they shared a good life with common interest. They worked together in everything they did. Bill and Cindy enjoyed cooking BBQ at many outdoor functions for big crowds, never asked for payments, and they always stayed until everything was cleaned up. They enjoyed hunting, fishing, metal detecting and travelling some.

He is survived by his wife and best friend, Cindy Schneider; daughter, LeAnn Dunlap; son, Billy Schneider; granddaughters Shanda and Maleah Post, Brittany Anderson and Shelby (Chance) Richardson; grandsons, Beau and Dalton Schneider; two sisters, Virginia (Dick) Christman and Hilda Johnston; niece, Sherri Moore; nephew Dave Moore; two step-sons Chris and Tadd Crow; and many more family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ruth Schneider; his first wife, Fern Schneider; grandson, Brodie Schneider; nephew Dick Moore and many old-time uncles, aunts and grandparents.
