William H. (Bill) Pierce, 96, died October 4, 2025, at Help for Health hospice in Riverton, Wyoming. Graveside services
at 11am, Thursday, October 23rd, 2025, at Sunset Memorial Park, 180398 US-26, Scottsbluff, Nebraska.
Bill was born to William H. and Irene L. (Klepper) Pierce of rural Morrill, on July 30, 1929, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. As oldest of
6 children, he was kept busy doing chores. He really liked going over to grandpa 'Papa' and Grandma Klepper's home at Henry, NE.
There were many aunts, uncles and cousins, that either lived there or visited often = his happy place.
He graduated from Liberty Rural HS at Morrill, with class of 1946. After graduation, he began learning how to operate (to start with,
an impressively large earth-moving dozer) heavy equipment, from his very patient uncle, Johnie Fields of Henry, found he could
earn money with this skill; thus began his career of road/highway construction. He worked for many different construction companies
some of them were Platte Valley Construction, Gilpatrick Construction, Brasel and Sims Construction, small stint with US Steel,
then back to some of the same companies, whichever one was hiring at the best pay, and he was sought after for his exceptional
skills of finish work, his favorite equipment and task was using blade for finish work smoothing out the many highways we all travel
here in Wyoming.
He met his future bride at a Bible School event in his hometown. Zada Mae Roberts of Whitney, NE had come down to help out.
They met, dated, and on July 19, 1946, they married and remained so until Zada's death in 2005. They lived in Henry and Morrill
communities until February 1960, when they moved to Lander, WY along with their three children, Rodney, Raeline & Randyl.
Bill and Zada were both baptized and became members of the local Grace Baptist Church of Lander, which eventually disbanded.
They were involved with church activities, as youth group leaders and basic duties as needed.
He worked out of town during the week, home on weekends, throughout the years. Zada eventually was able to go with him after
the graduation of their youngest in 1972. They became snowbirds, traveling to Mesa, AZ for many years. Traveled to many other areas
as time allowed, between temporary jobs that Bill worked at.
Bill is survived by his sons Rodney (Tina) Pierce, Randy (Rose) Pierce, daughter Raeline (Don) Stanker.
Grandchildren Shaun Pierce, Eric (Jill) Pierce, Kerri Jo (LJ) Otto, Mykle (Tabby) Pierce, Tyrell Pierce, Asa Pierce,
