Wanda "Joyce" Wolford Obituary

Wanda Joyce Wolford died at Westward Heights Care Center, Lander, Wyoming on November 29, 2020 at 91 years of age.

According to her wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no services. She was then buried with her husband of 58 years at the Lander Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Wanda Joyce Wolford was born May 20, 1929 at Dodd City, Texas, one of four children of Lou Roxie Harris and Claude DeVaul Womack. Wanda Joyce married Kenneth Dale Wolford Jr. on March 29, 1951 at Sherman, Texas. They moved to Colorado then to Gillette, Wyoming before coming to Lander in 1971. She worked in the Business Office at the Wyoming State Training School at Lander for 29 years.

She enjoyed researching and collecting antiques and collectibles and at one time could name and identify nearly all of the many depression glass patterns. Joyce attended many antique shows and often went to flea markets.

Wanda Joyce Wolford was a member of the Lander First Baptist Church and enjoyed visiting with church, community, and collector friends.

Wanda Joyce Wolford is survived by one son, Glen Allen Wolford of Casper, Wyoming. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister, and two brothers.
