Virginia Baldwin

Virginia Doris Baldwin passed away on July 13, 2026. She was 100 years old. She was born in Kemmerer, Wyoming, on February 8th 1926, to William Ray Baldwin Sr. (Bill) and Doris Huddleston Baldwin. The family lived in Big Piney, and she attended a one-room school in the Sikes bunkhouse till the fourth grade. They then moved to Jackson, Wyoming, where she graduated from high school. Virginia attended nursing school at Saint Mary of the Wasatch and Holy Cross Hospital. After graduating in 1948, she returned to Kemmerer and went to work for the State of Wyoming Public Health Department. The State paid for her to attend the University of Colorado to obtain a bachelor's degree in Public Health. She then worked for the State of Wyoming for 37 years as a Public Health Nurse and then Supervisor. In her spare time, Virginia enjoyed reading and traveling. She is survived by one son, Richard Young (Judy), three grandchildren, Amy, Bryon (Traci), and Matthew (Andrea); and two great-grandchildren, Bailey and Bridger. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and brother, William Ray Baldwin Jr. (Ray). Graveside services will be held in Kemmerer, WY. Officiated by Hudson's Funeral Home, Lander, WY.
