Verdonna Rae Valdez, of Ethete, died in Salt Lake City, Utah on December 26, 2018. Visitation will be 5- 8:30pm, Wednesday, January 2, 2019 in the Blue Sky Hall, Ethete. Visitation will then continue in the family home at 232 Willow St, Ethete all night long. The Funeral Service will be 10am, Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Blue Sky Hall. Burial will follow in the Tyler Family Cemetery, Ethete.
Verdonna Baldez was born June 8, 1970 to David Valdez and Mary Ella Brown in Lander, Wyoming.
Veradonna attended Mill Creek Elementary School, St. Stephens High School and graduated in 1988, she attended Haskell Indian Jr. College in Lawrence, KS. She loved the outdoors and the mountains. She enjoyed her hobbies - crafts, beading, baskets, and purses.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ella Valdez. Aunts, Arlene Brown, Ada Wallowing Bull. Uncles, Burton Hutchinson Sr. and Earl Hutchinson. Grandmother, Josephine Tyler Brown. Nephews Kojak Whiteman, Georgie Wallowing Bull. Grandfather, Boniface Brown.
Survivors include, her father David Valdez. Sisters, Rita (Ben) Ridgley, Maggie Valdez, Joann Brown, Ellie Shoyo, Patricia Burnett, Vicki Lopez, Darla Amos. Brothers, Lyle Valdez, Robert (Andra) Valdez, Juan Valdez. Grandmother Alvena Friday. Aunts, Gloria St. Clair, Belle Friday, April Friday, Pam Friday, Millie Friday and Valerie Friday.
