Tom Pierce Cowboy, age 45, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Wyoming Medical Center, Casper, Wyoming.
Our pops was a very family-oriented man who loved his children very loudly and his grandchildren even more so.
Tom Pierce Cowboy was born in Lander, Wyoming to Leo and Mary Cowboy on July 8 th 1976. Pierce attended Mill Creek Elementary School in Ethete, Wyoming. For high school he attended Lander Valley High School, and Wyoming Indian High school. He then moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, with his sisters and began his studies at South Western Indian Polytechnic Institute. He came back to Wyoming and began studying at Central Wyoming College in Riverton. Shortly after obtaining some certifications he moved to Billings, Montana.
Pierce resided in Billings for the majority of his life. He made a good life of his own, he made a home for his kids. When he raised his kids, he instilled the family dynamic and made sure his kids knew how much he loved them. He was a provider by nature, he made sure his kids never went without anything. He always managed to find a way to provide for his kids in any given situation. He was a very supportive, caring, thoughtful, assuring and protective father. He was very passionate about various forms of art; such as drawings, music, poems, and photography. You would always be able to find him at the car shows and cruising the low-riders. His love for the south-western native and Chicano culture was expressed in his everyday life style and fashion. When he moved back to Wyoming, he spent his days with his kids and doing things with them. He enjoyed taking us to explore the outdoor scenery. He made sure he knew how to find common interests in the things that his kids loved. He was an amazing father, and we're going to miss him tremendously.
