Thomas James Hereford, aged 58, passed away on December 4, 2025, in Fort Washakie, Wyoming.
A celebration of his life will begin with an all-night wake at the Rocky Mountain Hall, located at 19 N Fork Rd, Fort Washakie, WY 82514, on Monday, December 8, 2025, commencing at 6:00 p.m.
The funeral service will follow at the same location on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m..
Thomas Hereford was born in Lander, Wyoming to the late Arlene and Willis Hereford on October 7, 1967. He enjoyed being around his wife, Alice, children Leland, his daughter, Daphne and Johnny, grandchildren Sonny and Casey. They were all love by him so much.
Some of his favorite places to be were in the mountains making memories. He loved playing basketball with the grandkids. He found peace in mind while working on his vehicles. TJ was a simple man, he enjoyed Leland homemade meals and had a sweet tooth.
Morning time is when you would find a smile on his face and a goofy side of him. Alice will find comfort in knowing that he will join hands with his beloved Daphne again. For 39 years they have shared numerous memories together. They live a simple life. Alice will miss their walks together, small talk, and time with family.
Everyone loved TJ and TJ loved everyone. Lets not forget his love for his favorite dog, Scooby.
Sonny will miss going out with his grandpa. The last thing TJ said was, “Watch for the bus.” Education was important to TJ.He wanted to kame sure Casey and Sonny goto school.
Casey loved her time with her grandpa fixing her bike. Tj smiled from ear to ear when Casey won the basketball goal from Hines Store. He couldn’t wait to see it up for the kids to play.
Johnny was blessed to have learned how to hunt and fish from his dad. TJ would make tense moments under pressure.
Cussing was his favorite thing to do. His favorite words can’t be repeated. You night find him with a dip of his favorite Copenhagen Long Cut or a hot cup of coffee. His favorite movies were Rambo and Blood Out, his favorite music was Aldo Nova song Fantasy.
TJ would often talk about his favorite childhood memories of riding bikes with his siblings and cousins.
TJ is survived by his wife, Alice Jean; sons, Leland, Peahrora, Johnny Hereford; grandson, Sonny; granddaughter, Casey Peahrora; brothers, Curtis, Alton Hereford; aunts, Polly Vanelsoner, Deleece Teton; close cousins, Jessica, Fa Fa, Ruby Bell, Coose, Dallas, John Hereford, R.V., Turk Hereford, Baldy Rooks, Peewee Rooks, Andy Whiteman, Ina Tillman, T T, Burly, Clifton Tillman; extended families Hereford, Aragon, Lajeunesse, Amboh, Pogoree, Peahrora; pallbearers, Brandon Amboh, Keith Neido, Antoin Hereford, Buster Perry, Zac Wagon, and Johnson Hereford.
Altough TJ will be sadly missed but never forgotten we will find comfort knowing he has joined Daphne, parents, Arlene and Willis Hereford, and the rest of his family.
