Theodore Barrett Hungary, known as Ted or Teddy, went to be with the Lord on October 6, 2012.He was 46 years old and was a resident of Denver, Colorado.He is a Northern Arapaho who leaves behind sisters Carol Hopper(Jerry), Joni Ferris (Fred), Valentina Knutson (Mark) and a brother, Ron (Diane).Ted leaves behind a very large family including brothers and sisters Herb Welch, Mary Trumbull, Betty Friday, Jim Large, Steven Hungary, Alicia Hungary-Gancarski, Sharon Hungary-Darr, Ramona Hungary, John Ornelas, Amy Ornelas, Danyal Goggles, Dean Hungary, Harvey Eagle, Lavonne Hungary, Nicole Hungary and many others too numerous to list here but who he carried in his heart.
Ted was part of the homeless community in Denver Colorado for many years but also worked as a gutter installer and other carpenter and labor positions.He was fiercely independent and courageous.He leaves behind many homeless friends and supporters who will miss him dearly.
Ted was born July 16, 1966 to Burnham Smith Hungary Sr. and Sophia Goggles Hungary who preceded him in death in addition to his oldest brother, Burnham Smith Hungary Jr.Ted never married and has no biological children but leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews too many list here in addition to the many many grandchildren too.
Ted loved his freedom, helping friends, riding his bike throughout Denver, fixing bikes to give to people and living life with his loyal and constant companion, Lucille, a wolf/lab mix.He was a loyal and dedicated man who cherished his Lord and his Arapaho beliefs. Ted will be remembered for his kindness, simple love of life and his generosity of spirit.
Remember Ted with donations to homeless populations wherever you reside and remember their humanity.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 5:00 pm, and will last all night, in the Blue Sky Hall, Ethete, Wyoming, with an Evening Service at 7:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 10:00 am, also in the Blue Sky Hall. Burial will follow in the Yellow Calf Cemetery.
