Susan M. Mountain
Born to Irene (Annell) and Gordon Quammenin Minot, North Dakota on 01 December 1949, she was the fourth of four children having her twin brothers Stanley and Sanford, and sister Sande to greet her. Susan or Susie , as she was called, attended schools in Stanley, North Dakota through 1967 when she graduated high school.She was a good student and athlete with trophies in swimming and diving during the summers and tumbling and cheerleading during the school year.She left home to attend Weaver Airline School, Kansas City, KS in 1967.She moved to Chicago to pursue her vocation with American Airlines.In doing so, she enjoyed many leisure trips to European and US cities. In 1970, she moved to Denver for work. Later, she attended NDSSS, Wahpeton, ND enrolled in a science curriculum.Susan married in 1972.Two children, Benjamin Ross (1978) and Sarah Marie (1982) were born of that union.Moving to Wyoming in 1979, she lived in Casper and Cheyenne working as a travel agent for several employers. She enjoyed fishing, quilting, gardening, and raising her children.After divorcing in 2002, she retired from work and moved to Lander.She is survived by her sister Sande (Baade), Stanley, ND; brother Sanford and family, Battle Lake, MN; brother Stanley and family, New Berlin, NJ; son Benjamin, Littleton, CO; daughter Sarah, Big Horn, WY an her pets - Pete (dog) and Theo (cat).
