Susan June Deveraux was born Feb. 28, 1945 to Clara and Joseph Deveraux in Cody Wyoming. She died on June 24, 2026 in Lander Wyoming at Westward Heights. Services will be held on Tuesday July 21, 2026 at 11 a.m. at The First Baptist Church 339 Sweetwater St. Lander Wyoming. Susan was raised on a ranch in Cody and Hyattville, Wyoming. She spent most of her childhood following her dad around horseback. This is when her love for animals started. She graduated from Cody Highschool in 1962. She got married to Virgil Moore in Cody Wyoming. Susan’s first job was a physical therapist aide.Susan and Virgil moved to Lander and she became a bus driver with Fremont County School District #1 In all her years with us this was favorite job. She did this for 9 ½ years. After Susan and Virgil got divorced she remarried James (Jim) Campbell. They resided in Lander during their marriage. After their divorce Susan remained in Lander with her daughter, son, and grandchildren. Susan was known for her love for pigs as she got older she had started collecting stuffed pigs because she could no longer care for the living pigs. She played the piano for the congregation at The First Baptist Church for many and many years and was on the music committee. During her time with the church she loved going to bible study. Susan enjoyed playing the piano, sewing, crafting, and gardening. She is going to be remembered as someone who loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and those who adopted her as their grammy. The most important thing in Susan’s life was her relationship with her lord. She is preceded in death by her parents, her ex-husband James (Jim) Campbell, some siblings, her daughter Valerie Price, and her son Joseph Moore. She is survived by her ex-husband Virgil, her sister Helen, and other siblings. Grandchildren Ladawna (Chris) Mortensen, Cherokee (Mike) Hornecker, Desirae ( Alberto) Gaspar-Cruz, Josh Price and many more adopted grandchildren. Great- grandchildren Cheyenne (Jason) Goss, Destiny Seavey, Ashton Mortensen, Jayden and Matthew Hornecker, Amanda Custeau, James Tarness, Tadeo Gaspar- Cruz, Jose Gaspar- Cruz, Trenton Price, Wyatt Price, Addison Price and many more great-grandchildren.
