Shirley June Kaiser

Shirley June Kaiser passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 of natural causes, at her home in Lander, at the age of 73.She was born to Len and Ruth Spilde on June 23, 1938 in Willow Lake, SD.There she was raised with her brothers Jack, Bob and Vince.
After her graduation in 1958 in Watertown, SD, she worked as a nurse at St. Ann Hospital for two years.Shirley then moved to Rapid City, SD where she met Larry Kaiser.They married on Shirley's birthday, just four months after meeting at a USO Valentine's Day dance.This past June, together with their family and friends, they celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary.Shirley remained in Rapid City when Larry left to serve in the Air Force overseas.He returned four years later, and they continued to live in Rapid City where all four of their children, Duane, Allen, Patty and Anita, were born.
The family moved to Arizona in 1973, and then to Lander in 1981.During her life in Lander, Shirley provided childcare in her home for 20 years while continuing to be a loving and supportive mother and wife.
She is survived by her husband Larry;two brothers and their spouses, Bob and Florence Spilde, Vince and Sharon Spilde; 2 sons and 2 daughters and their spouses, Duane and Shaylinn Kaiser, Allen and Christina Kaiser, Patty and TomJohnson, Anita and Brandon Cooper; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Jack.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 9, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Hudson's Funeral Home Visitation will preceed the Funeral from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm with a burial service at Mount Hope Cemetery following the Funeral Service.
