Sharon Gae Crerar was born on November 20th, 1936 to Charles Wesley Stilson and Mildred Ilamira Hanchett in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Sharon attended and graduated from Cheyenne
Central High School in 1955 and that same year, married her beloved, Steve McKay Crerar. Sharon went on to obtain her Associates in Business from Laramie County Community College and later worked in the Accounting Office for Civil Defense in Cheyenne. In 1965, Sharon and Steve introduced their first beautiful daughter to the world, Shelly, and three years later were blessed with their second beautiful daughter Tracy in 1968. In 1978, Sharon, Steve, and their two daughters started their next journey in Lander, Wyoming where they owned and managed Komac Paint Store and later founded Shary's Frame Shop. Sharon lastly worked at the Wyoming State Training School up until her retirement, though retirement never slowed her down. Sharon stayed busy with three grandson's, Kiefer, Thaddeus and Nolan as well as one granddaughter, Shaelyn. From then on, her name forever changed to Grandma Shary and everyone knew her as such. She attended every sporting event, graduation, marriage and all the inbetweens. If there's one person in the crowd cheering you on, it's our Grandma Shary. She not only adored her grandchildren, she also adored her friends and being a part of the community. Grandma Shary was involved in a sorority, Beta Sigma Phi, enjoyed playing Pinochle with her girlfriends, and was an avid bowler until the age of 85. Not being busy enough, she also served the community by working in the SageWest Hospital Gift Shop, the Methodist Church Thrift Store and was a member of the Pioneer Parade Committee where she rode side saddle in the 4th of July Parades. Grandma Shary was an active member of the Correctional Peace Officers Foundation to not only honor her husband, Steve, but to honor every fallen officer. Her passionate energy will cascade forever and her love will extend through generations, because there is no greater love than Grandma Shary's love.
