Ryan Lee Bishop, formerly of Lander, now residing in Gillette, 37, died in Gillette on July 31, 2020. Public Visitation will be 4 -6pm, Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Hudson's Funeral Home. The Graveside Service will be 1pm, Friday, August 7, 2020, Mount Hope Cemetery, Lander, WY.

Ryan Lee Bishop was born November 24, 1982 in Gillette WY to Myron Lee Bishop and Kathy (Anderson) Bishop. Shortly after he was born the family moved to Glendive MT where they lived till 1992, before moving again to Havre, MT. They called Havre home for 7 years and this is where Ryan spent his adolescent years. Eventually the family needed a change and in 1999 his parents and siblings moved to Lander WY while Ryan moved to Albuquerque NM to live with his grandma. It was in Albuquerque that he found his love for anime and hiking. He lived in NM until 2006 and then moved around a bit before finally settling down in Gillette WY.

Ryan was a born leader, and a very hard worker. He loved any job that was a challenge but his favorite place to work was the oilfield. He worked with Pioneer, Hydro and Greene Well Service. When he was not working he was passionate about reading, being in the mountains and spending time with his nieces and nephews who  he loved so much.

Ryan discovered his love for horses and even spent some time breaking Mustangs. He was a natural with them and had a dream of one day owning a house on some land with a few horses. Ryan was a loyal friend and a protective big brother. He will be missed by those who survive him.

Survivors include his parents Myron and Kathy Bishop (Lander WY). His brothers Aaron (Jessie) Bishop (Lander WY), Nathan (Amanda) Bishop (Rapid City SD). His sisters Corrie Bishop (Dickenson ND), Nicole, Courtney, and Kayla Bishop (Lander WY) and his sister in law Teresa Bishop (Thompson Falls MT). His grandmother Gloria Bishop and his special friend and grandma Mary Anderson. He also had numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Michael Bishop and Matthew Bishop and his grandfathers' Melvin Bishop and Richard Anderson.
