Russell Hurtado

Russell Hurtado, 73, of Fort Washakie, Wyoming passed away June 3, 2016. A Wake will begin at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 8, 2016 located at #18 AwGaw Bombee Lane in Fort Washakie, Wyoming. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, June 9th at Rocky Mountain Hall in Fort Washakie, Wyoming.

Russell was born on January 26, 1943 to Norma Randall and Sequiel Hurtado. He worked at BIA roads for 30 years. He worked at Rocky Mountain Hall for 10 years.

Russell enjoyed cruising, rodeos, spending time with family especially his sister Judy, listening to music and local basketball teams. He also enjoyed playing his guitar and he enjoyed and loved all his grandkids.

Russell served in the military from December 1st, 1964 to September 10th, 1966; he served during Vietnam.

He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Hurtado; parents, Norma Randall and Sequiel Hurtado; daughter, Shannon Hurtado; grandson, Joshua Hurtado; sister, Terry Burton; brother, Billy Stephens; and niece Catherine Timbana.

He is survived by sisters, Judith Chinjay and Jeanie Harris; daughters, Lacy Hurtado (Justin), Russi Hurtado (Elijah), Deanne Large, Bo Stacy and Chardell Shoyo; nieces, Sherry Ferris, Anita Lajeunesse, Shawna Vocu and Misti Harris; nephews, Kenny Wilcox, Jesse Harris and Terry Roberts; grandkids, Lane Hurtado, Lexi and Carlie Redbear, Jeshua and Jestin Coulston, Tatum Hurtado, Tayden and Yaddie St. Clair, Jacoby Hereford Jr. and Jarren Hurtado.
