Russel G Haase

Russel G. Haase died at his home in Lander Monday morning, Oct. 11, 2010, at the age of 85.
Private graveside services will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery in Lander at a later date.
Russel George Haase was born in Brooking, S.D., on May 28, 1925, the son of John H. Haase and Bertha (Heath) Haase.
He served with the U.S. Army during World War II.
On Feb. 2, 1967, he married Hilda Oeltjen in Stewartville, Minn.
Mr. Haase worked in construction and as a truck driver.
The couple moved to Lander from Watertown, S.D., eight years ago.
Survivors include his wife, Hilda Haase of Lander; a son, Roger Haase and his wife Christine of Lander; a daughter, Rhonda Haase of Watertown, S.D.; eight grandchildren, Robin, Ronnie, Kim, Casey, Michael, Dawn, Craig, and Bonnie.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ronald Haase, and three brothers.
