Rose Marie Siers, 67, of Lander, Wyoming, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026, in Billings, Montana.

Rose Marie Siers was born on July 11, 1958, in Thermopolis, Wyoming, to Ernest Posey and Rose Red Cherries. She was one of 13 children and a direct descendant of Chief Little Wolf and Chief Wild Hog. She attended Chilocco Indian School, later earned her GED, and continued her education by attending Bible College in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Rose dedicated more than 20 years of her life as a Certified Nursing Assistant, caring for others at Morning Star Manor and Westward Heights. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing basketball and softball. She cherished spending time with her family and friends and loved listening to music.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents; her sons, Jason Coyote Sr., Milo Larvie, Christopher Posey Sr., Tony Posey, Mike Posey Jr., and Blaine Revere; her brothers, Dansyl Posey Sr., Maynard Posey Sr., Daniel Posey, and Mike Posey Sr.; her sisters, Ruby Posey, Nola Littlebear, Rose Dillard, Ernestine Littletree, and Baby Posey; her nephews, Bernard Posey, Maynard Posey Jr., Warren Jorgenson, Dansyl Posey Jr., and Darren Posey; her grandsons, Terrance Posey, Enrique Chavez, Jeremy Jorgensen, Chris Posey Sr., and Joshua Cade Hurtado; her granddaughter, Erin Lujan; and Pearlene Posey, along with numerous other family members and friends who preceded her in death.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Richard Siers; her sons, Ernest Siers, William Posey, Toni Siers, and Daniel Antelope; her daughters, Anna Siers and Pauline Siers; her sister, Pauline Posey; her brothers, Ivan Posey, Myron Littlebird, and Ernest Posey III; as well as countless nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

A visitation will be held at the Rocky Mountain Hall (19 N Fork Rd, Fort Washakie, WY 82514) from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2026.

Following the visitation, an all-night wake will be held at the family home (41 Old Wind River Hwy, Fort Washakie, WY 82514).

The funeral service will be held at the Rocky Mountain Hall at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026, with burial to follow at Sacajawea Cemetery.
