Ronald Dale Moss passed away at home on August 5, 2025, in Ethete, Wyoming.

Services and wake will be held on August 8, 2025, at the residence of his mother, Susanna Oldman: 70 17 Mile Road, Ethete, Wyoming. A sunrise service will follow on August 9, 2025, at the same location. Burial will take place at Friday Cemetery in Ethete, Wyoming. A feast will be held at Blue Sky Hall.

Ronald was born in Helena, Montana, on March 30, 1968, to Susanna Moss Oldman. He was adopted and raised by Arvin Jorgenson and Rosella Moss.

He moved to Fort Hall, Idaho, in the early 1990s and later returned to the Wind River Reservation in 2007. In April 2004, he met Candace Navo. The two were married on November 17, 2006, in Fort Hall, Idaho.

Ron attended Fort Washakie Elementary School and Sherman Indian School, graduating from Wyoming Indian High School in May 1986. During his school years, he participated in football, wrestling, track, and cross country.

He enjoyed hunting, horn hunting, teaching younger generations to hunt, fishing, camping, branding, gambling, horseback riding, working on vehicles, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a Sundancer, often participating in the ceremony unless he was fasting, and he regularly helped out during Sundance. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Ron served as a Sho-Rap firefighter. In the 90's he also helped with the Tillman Indian Relay Team.

Ron is survived by his wife, Candace Moss; children: Blaine Moss, Amanda Moss, Winter Morning Storm Moss, Yeh-Vaa-Nee Moss, SkyRae Moss, and Georgia Moss; sisters: Elmeretta Blackbird, Jeanette (Greg) Roan Horse Sr., Rozeanne Jorgenson, Tonia Wick, Noreen Oldman, and Denise Addison; mothers: Susanna Oldman and Rosella Moss; brothers: Jesse (Brooke) Blackbird, Winston (Theresa) Jorgenson, Kenneth (Anna) Jorgenson, Preston Jorgenson, Edgar (Elizabeth) Jorgenson Sr., Timothy Miller, Austin (Bobbi) Hill, Fincillius (Taleah) Jorgenson, Chuck Bryant, Ed St. Clair, Guy St. Clair, Dave Ferris, Sheldon Calloway, Robert Aragon Sr., Clarence Argon Sr., Santee Moss, Lyle Begay, James Begay, Thomas Oldman, Duane Oldman; and his bestie, bestie, Vernon Tillman.

He is also survived by his aunts and uncles: Ursula (Bobby) Aragon, Jody Jorgenson, Maxine Moss, Bonnie (John) Washakie, Leonard R. Moss, Donald Moss, Patrick Moss, Nelson Moss, Dave & Kay Ferris, and Darrell (Delphine) Ferris.

Ron was named after his uncles: Leonard Ronald Moss Sr. and PFC Weldon Dale Moss.

He was preceded in death by his adopted father, Arvin Jorgenson; baby boy Angel Moss (2015); Mary Jane Blackbird; Joey Argon; Rodney Jorgenson; James Jorgenson; Warren Jorgenson; grandparents: Herman J. Moss Sr. & Eileen Moss, Rosie B. Moss, Virginia Antelope, Rodney & Maude (St. Clair) Jorgenson, Paul, Rosie B. Moss, and Wyoma Moss; uncles: Kendall Moss Sr., Herman Moss Jr., PFC Weldon D. Moss, and Medrick Moss Sr., Leland Hill, Vernon Hill, Edwin S.Clair; and aunts: Victoria Friday, Julie Brown, Deloras Moss, Tekawitha SunRhodes, and Eileen C'Bearing.
