Roderick Burke Tillman, 61, of Fort Washakie, died in Casper, Wyoming on November 10, 2025. Visitation will be Thursday, November 13, 2025 in the Rocky Montain Hall, 19 North Fork Road, Fort Washakie, Wyoming. The Funeral Service will begin 10:00 am, Friday, November 14, 2025 also in the Rocky Mountain Hall. Burial Will follow in the Aragon Family Cemetery, Kinnear, Wyoming. Full obituary at a later date.

Roderick Burke Tillman Sr. passed into the spirit world on November 10, 2025 surrounded by his family in Casper, Wy.

Rod was born on December 4, 1963 to Eugene Ronnie Tillman and Margret Aragon Tillman in Lander, Wyoming.

Rod grew up in Fort Washakie, Wyoming. He graduated from Wind River High School in 1983. While in high school, he excelled in wrestling and became a State Champ. After high school, Rod attended Haskell University in Lawrence, Kansas obtaining an associates degree. In December 1988, Rod married Big Susan, they had 6 Children. .

Rod was a Sundancer, a horseman, and mechanic. He enjoyed watching the Broncos, family brandings, hunting trips to CrowCreek and Spring Mountain, fishing, and camping. His vacation time every year was during hunting season, with his brothers, riding horseback in the mountains, no women around except his grandma Bunky. He also participated in Indian Relay Horse Racing, and loved watching the races. Rod enjoyed watching his Monday Night Raw, so much so he traveled two times to watch Wrestlemania. His one true passion was riding horses and enjoying the view as he watched them roam in the field.

Rod was a maintenance worker for the BIA, Indian Health Services & Eastern Shoshone Housing Authority. He served several years on the Eastern Shoshone Entertainment Committee. His greatest joy in his life was becoming a grandpa. Rod loved spending time with his grandkids, and he always made sure rather it be or games he would show up to watch them.

Rod is survived by his Wife Susie, Son Rod Tillman, Jr. Daughters; Alana(Ira) Runningshield, Sharmayne (Charlie) Apodaca, Dawn (Chico) Menjivar, and Kimberly Brockie, Leiha (Rob) Van Pelt. God-Daughter; Dionne Ferris Grandchildren; Siona, Dandi, Nana, Blackwolf, Tiger, Shauntae (John) SunChild, Carlos(Angelicia) Savannah and Ronaldo Menjivar, Cecelia and Dutch Helgeson(Teche). Kitana, Trinity, Kiora, Quentin, Darko Van Pelt, Winona Tillman. Sisters; Stephanie Harris (Dwight) Delane, Shine and Sheri Tidzump, Stephania Brothers; Albert Tillman, Reed and Dion (Laurie) Tidzump, Manny Romero, Presten Smith(Jannette) Marvin Aragon Sr., Archie Powell, Carlos Menijivar, Hollis Weeks and Sherman Sage. Nephew; Claullen Tillman, Jessie Garza (Shaylenn), Forrest Tillman, Luke Tidzump (Lidnsey),Joe Tizump, ColeLittlewhiteman (Hailey).Nieces; Caitlyn, Leiha Von Pelt (Rob) Grandma; Beverly Thomas ,Katherine Shakespeare Grandpa;. Aunts; Yolanda Porter, Jeanie Harris, Charlene Tillman, Elaine Weed, Marilyn Weed, Leola (Vince) White, Flora Burnett, Zelma Bell, . Great Grandchildren: Ryder, Raelah, Racelyn, Braxyton Helgeson, Bear, Rickson Sonchild, Andreas Menjivar, Ameliana Headley. Numerous nieces, Nephews and grandchildren.

Rod is preceded in death by his parents Ronnie Tillman and Nadine Aragon Tillman. (Son) Jonathan Tillman. Sister Elizabeth Tillman . Brothers Quentin, Leon Tillman and Walter Dick Tidzump Grandsons Thane Helgason and Bubba. Aunts: Wilma Spoonhunter Grandparents Eugene Tillman, Lawrence Aragon, Don Aragon, Pete Aragon, Starr Weed Sr. Grandma’s Josephine Johnson, Lorraine Weed, Pauline Tidzump, Regina Sage, Rowena Pebeashy, Juanita Urban, Linda Remero, Susie Aragon, Julia Smith. The families of the Tillman, Aragon, Tidzump, Leonard, Weed, Hereford and Smith In our time of grief, the family deeply apologizes if we missed any family and friends.
