Roddeen Ingawanup, 58, of Fort Washakie, Wyoming, passed away on February 27, 2026, in Lander, Wyoming. She was born on August 24, 1967, in Blackfoot, Idaho, to the late Rodrick and Vina M. Ingawanup.
Roddeen was a talented entrepreneur and owned her business, “Ingawanup Dezigns.” Her beadwork was very exquisite, creating everything from coin purses to full dance outfits. She also held many royalty titles for powwow and rodeo. Roddeen ran the “Wind River Cafe” on Trout Creek for a few years and previously worked as a flagger with the BIA Roads Department for a number of years.
Roddeen was preceded in death by her sons, Willieroy Ingawanup, Justin Ingawanup, and Aaron “Kolt” Big Knife.
She is survived by her children, Justin Seminole, Jr., Walker Wesaw, Whitney Wesaw, Tristian Wesaw (Jaelynn Roanhorse), and Hank Smith; her sister, Rachel Ingawanup Ynostrosa; and her nephew, Victor Ynostrosa.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Elaina and Walt-J Ingawanup of Tama, Iowa; Jaden Roy and Jorecce Iron Eyes; Kyle and Kaden Wesaw; Atsayitah Roanhorse; Kyson Ynostrosa; and Juan Ynostrosa.
Additional relatives include Cathleen Ute and family; Terah M. and Kyle Ute; Yolanda Tinno; Berlinda Teton and family; Glenda, Annie, Sissy, and Eldon Marshall; Zedora Teton Enos and family; LaGrande, Chasen, Keno Coby and family; Linda, Donna, Pearl Tillman and family; Audrey Ward and family; Roxanne Sockzehigh; Jake Hill and family; Missy Hill and family; Austin and Beanie Hill; the Little Wind and Wind River LeBeau families; the Teton family; the Ute family; and Jodi Big Knife and family.
Traditional services will take place at the family home, 8 Hereford Lane, Fort Washakie, Wyoming. An all-night wake will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., with funeral services at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
