Rochelle Mary Freeman

Rochelle “Rockie” Freeman, 56, passed away on June 6, 2026, in Casper, Wyoming.

Rochelle graduated from Wyoming Indian High School and furthered her education in Bismarck, North Dakota.

Returning back home, she was employed with Morning Star Manor as a dietitian, and later was employed by the Northern Arapaho Tribe and worked at the Ethete Store as a cashier. She later continued her employment at the Wind River Hotel and Casino as a cashier.

Rockie loved the outdoors, exploring the mountains, and being in nature. Rockie loved spending time with her family and enjoyed attending family cookouts. Most of all, she loved raising her grandchildren. Rockie also loved the Denver Broncos.

Rockie married Lindy Freeman in July 2005.

Rochelle is survived by her husband, Lindy Freeman; son, Robin Mountain; daughter, Lindsay Freeman; grandchildren, Anthony Mountain, Miles Wolfrang, Mia, Venessa Mountain, Legend Freeman, Tytan Freeman-Shavehead, Ruby Freeman, Rylee Medicine Cloud and Leonard TrueBlood.; nieces and nephews, Gilian, Gracelyn, and Geordy Medicine Cloud, Delray Lilley, and Vivian Baler.

Rockie is also survived by her sisters, Amy Friday, Rhonda Bower, Margo Williams, Louis Medicine Cloud, Vana Eagle-Felter, Cheryl Medicine Cloud, Claudette Medicine Cloud, Haroldine WhiteWolf, Wanda Willow, and Jenaka Toineta; brothers, Gib Medicine Cloud, Gary Medicine Cloud Jr., Garrett Medicine Cloud, Everett Eagle Jr., and Malcolm Bowers; uncles, Rusty Stafe, Everett Eagle Sr., and Phillip Friday; and aunts, Amilia Little and Roberta Whiteplume.

She is preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Mountain; mother, Antonette Joyce Medicine Cloud; stepfather, Gary Medicine Cloud Sr.; father, Leonard Moss; grandparents, Tony and Mary Wolfrang, Lillian Eagle, Cecilia Friday, and Wallace Wolfrang; aunts, Anna Worito, Caroline Bowers, Floritta Eagle, Anna Warren, Barbara Manderson, Joanne Pipe, Marie Esparza, Joy Baluch, Lavina Loves Him, and Naomie McKee; sister, Thelma Medicine Cloud; uncles, Moses, Eddie, Leonard, Carth, and Bradford Friday, David Wolfrang, and Edward Eagle Sr.; and brother, Anthony Medicine Cloud.

A Rosary and Wake will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Blue Sky Hall, 490 Ethete Road, Ethete, Wyoming 82520.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the family home, 805 Blue Sky Highway, Ethete, Wyoming 82520. Interment will follow at Wolfrang Cemetery in Ethete.
