Robert Lynn St. Clair

July 5, 1953 — June 23, 2015

Robert "Red Dog" St. Clair, 62, passed away June 23, 2015. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at the Rocky Mountain Hall, Fort Washakie, Wyoming. An all-night wake will begin at the family home at 5:00 p.m., Monday, June 29, 2015.

Robert "Red Dog" St. Clair was raised by his Grandmother Eloise St. Clair. He attended Ft. Washakie School and graduated from Riverside High School. After High School, he went on to be a Fish and Game Warden for a time, and then attended the Police Academy in Artesian, New Mexico. He then returned to the Wind River Reservation where he was a BIA Police Officer until Retirement after 20 years. He then went on to be the Director for the Wind River Fish and Game for 15 years. He retired from the Fish and Game in 2011 due to Cancer.

Robert enjoyed Trapping, Ice Fishing, Hunting and Patrolling the Wind River Reservation. He spent a lot of time with his Grandchildren.His main accomplishments were being a Sharp Shooter, Top Gun and Fire Arms Instructor and Tracker. He was also a Board member of the Native American Fish and Game Wildlife Society and many other achievements and awards.

He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd N. St. Clair Sr. and his mother Eulea E. Roberts; his grandparents, Lynn St. Clair and Eloise St. Clair; grandparents Harold and Ruth Roberts; his sister Gail St. Clair.

He survivors include his wife Natalie St. Clair; brother, Warran St. Clair; sister, Becky Manzaneras, Jodi St. Clair and Lilayne "Coose" Herford; his son's Robert and Chris Tiger, Elijah Sage St. Clair and son-in-law Sterling Barnaby; daughters Melanie Barnaby, Gail, Bobbie Lynn and Kimberly St. Clair, Tamara Warren and Andrea Blackburn. His god children, Tristan Ortiz and Aliya Williams; adopted son Gabriel Warren and numerous grandchildren and a great-grand child. Numerious uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and Cousins. Also the families of St Clairs, McAdams, Roberts, O'neals, Herfords, Burnetts, Tindors, Alverezs, Nowlins, Harris and Hurtados.

He was an enrolled member of the Eastern Shoshone Tribe and was a lifelong resident of the Wind River Reservation.
