Robert Schults died at home in Lander, Wyoming on May 17th, 2013 with his wife Barbara at his side.
His request for no services is being honored by his family and his ashes will be scattered atop the Wind River mountains at a later date.
Bob was born January 13th 1950 to parents Robert Schults and Dolores (Koop) Schults in Lincoln, Nebraska.
He attended school in Omaha and went to college at Nebraska Wesleyan University. He then attended a Respiratory Therapy program and passed the boards to become a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
He married Barbara Van Kerrebrook in 1975 and they raised 3 children. They moved briefly to Ogallala Nebraska where Bob established a Respiratory Therapy department for the local hospital before taking his expertise to Lander Wyoming. Here he would be instrumental in starting the hospital's Respiratory Home Care Program. He was affectionately known as "Breathin' Bob". Working with his Home Care patients was one of the things he enjoyed most.
Bob's other passions outside of helping his patients were hunting, fishing, collecting and spending time with his children and dogs. He was an honest and caring man who never asked anything for himself and gave his all to everyone around him. Also known as Bobby throughout the Lander area, he will be sorely missed by his friends and family He was a true role model who will always be remembered.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jim Schults. He is survived by sister Deb Schults, wife Barbara Schults, daughter Jaree, and sons Matt and Tyler Schults along with a large extended family.
