Robert "Rob" Edward Derbish
Robert "Rob" Edward Derbish, age 57, died suddenly on July 12, 2011 at his home in Lander, Wyoming with his wife Debbie by his side. Rob was born in Pittsburgh, PA on January 25, 1954 to John and Carolyn Derbish.
Rob lived in Pittsburgh until 1976 when he moved to Wyoming with his future wife, Debbie, and family.On July 8th, 1978 he married Debbie Fisher in Pittsburgh, PA.He worked in Lander until he went to work for the Uranium Mines in Jeffrey City. Rob was an EMT, President of the Ambulance Service and a member of the Fremont County Recreation Board.He worked for the State of Wyoming in Jeffrey City, Muddy Gap and Lander. At the time of his death he was employed at the Wyoming Department of Transportation in Lander.He worked for WYDOT for the past 20 years.Rob was due to retire in August 2011 and had been counting down the days until retirement.He looked forward to spending time with his wife and friends, hunting, working on their property in Jeffrey City and just having fun.Rob was a free-spirit, loved life and his Harleys. He never slowed down for a moment, found the good in every situation and made people laugh.

Rob is survived by his wife of 33 years, Debbie, his parents John (Patricia) Derbish of Pittsburgh, PA and Carolyn Derbish of Riverton, WY.His siblings include John (Iko) Derbish, Susan (Allen) Vodopich of Riverton, WY, Patty (Harry) Balish, Steve (Dorothy) Derbish and Dan (Amanda) Derbish of Pittsburgh, PA.Rob also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, friends, and extended family.
Rob was preceded in death by his grandparents Lloyd Johnston, Joann Modrak, Peter and Frances Derbish of Pittsburgh and father-in-law, Roy Fisher of Lander.
A viewing will be held on Monday, July 18 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Hudson's Funeral Home in Lander, WY. A Celebration of Life service will be held in the Chapel of the Hudson's Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 19 at 10:00 a.m.A luncheon will follow the service at the Lander Fire Hall.
