Robert "Bob" Clark Adams was born to Claude and Grace (Johnson) Adams on November 26, 1934 in Guernsey, Wyoming. He died at his home in Lander, Wyoming on January 16, 2011.
Bob was the youngest of 10 children and was raised on a ranch outside of Wheatland, Wyoming. Later he graduated from Guernsey High School and then served his country by enlisting in the Marine Corps..
Bob came to Lander in the early 60's and worked as a Journeyman Iron Worker, helping to build the US Steel Mine. He built many landmark items such as original tramway in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, the Flaming Gorge Bridge, & the Astoria Bridge over the Columbia River from Oregon to Washington. He worked for 40 years for Kvaerner Construction, advising on Copper Smelting Plants through out the US.
Bob was preceded in death by wife, Fay Adams; father, Claude Adams; mother, Grace (Johnson) Adams; siblings, James C. Adams, William E. Adams, Edith G. Bovee, Ruth I. Miller, Ida P. Robertson, Ray C. Adams, Ruby L. Stones, and Georgia A. Butler.
Bob is survived by sister, Twyla M. Parlett; step-son, Ed Cruickshank; step-daughter, Sharon McIntosh; step-grand children; step-great grand children; step-great-great grand children; nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; numerous other family and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 20, 2011 from 9:00 am – 11:00 am. A Funeral Service will then follow at 11:00 am The Visitation and Funeral Service will be at the Chapel of Mount Hope, Hudson's Funeral Home, 680 Mount Hope Drive, Lander, WY 82520. 332-2221.
