Rita Ann Hilpp

Rita Ann Hilpp, long-time resident of Lander, Wyoming and known by friends as Murph, passed away on July 23, 2018 at the age of 86 years, when she lost her battle to Alzheimers Disease.
Rita was born in Litchfield, Nebraska on April 9, 1932. Rita grew up in Lander, moving to the area with her family when she was a young girl.
Rita married the love of her life, Eugene Vaughn Hilpp, in 1951, and had two children.
Rita is preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Leah Cherry; spouse, Eugene Vaughn Hilpp; and brothers, Wayne and Don Cherry.
Rita is survived by her two children, Lisa (Don) Jacks and Kody (Carrie) Hilpp; three grandchildren, Eric (Lindsay) Hilpp, Amy (Hector) Martinez, and Heather Hilpp; and four great-grandchildren; McKenzi Martinez, Jaxon Martinez, Vaughn Hilpp and Liliann Hilpp.
Rita was a devoted loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She cherished her family and friends and the time she spent with them. She was fun-loving with strong moral values. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and fishing. She will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved her!
