Richard Dale Patton

Richard Dale Patton, 63, of Lander, WY passed away on September 23, 2017 at home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 13, 2017 at the Lander Community and Convention Center located at 950 Buena Vista Drive in Lander.

Richard Patton was born February 1, 1954 to Basil Eugene Patton and Rachael Mae Geike in Lusk, WY.

Graduated from Tongue River High School Wyoming in 1972. In 1973, Richard was employed by Peter Kiewit Construction for 20 plus years, as an equipment operator on road construction moving on to become a job superintendent; he was selected for this position because of his exceptional managerial abilities. Richard, moved on to High Country Construction as job superintendent working on several projects in Wyoming for 10 plus years. His remaining last 9 years of his work career, he was employed at Black Butte Coal Company as an equipment operator.

Richard enjoyed all outdoor activities; hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, boating, camping and horseback riding. He loved a good game of pinochle, BBQing, smoking fish, meat and growing tomatoes. Richard was the life of the party.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann of Lander, WY; daughter, RaeAnn Rene Patton of Washington DC; brother, Robert (Karen) Patton of Hanna, WY; sister, Glenda (Richard) Duff of Wheatland WY; numerous nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Marky Slifko of Lander WY; and many friends.
