Richard Anthony Antelope

June 11, 1926 — June 21, 2015

Richard Anthony Antelope, "Ceniibeeteenit" Man with No Bow, 89, of Ethete, Wyoming, passed away on June 21, 2015 at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Blue Sky Hall in Ethete, Wyoming. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at Blue Sky Hall with a wake to follow at 566 Ethete Road, Ethete, WY.

Richard was born June 11, 1926 to Orlando Antelope Sr. and Sadie Judson in Arapaho, Wyoming.

He went to school at St. Stephen's boarding school and Arapaho Ranch School. He was a member of the Native American Church, Historic Preservation and Wind River Tribal College Master Apprentice Language member. He enjoyed reading, rodeos and traveling to Estes Park, Sand Creek Massacre Site and Denver March Pow-Wow. He was an extra in the movie called "Jeremiah Johnson." He was proud of the Regalia that was made for him. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and grandkids. He enjoyed the company of Nelson White his nephew. He lived and respected the Arapaho way of life.

He was preceded in death by his parents Orlando, Sadie; his wife Lily Waterman Antelope, children John Charles (son) and Iris (daughter); grandchildren Robert Thomas and great-grandchildren Winter Rose, Jeanette Thomas; sisters, Nora Antelope, Eileen Moss, Lucy Ann Wallowingbull, Florence Iron; brothers, Orlando Jr., Lawrence W. Antelope Sr., George Antelope, Howard Antelope Sr., and William Antelope.

Survivors include son, George Antelope; daughter, Donna Antelope; nieces, Norma Jean, Laverne, Alvera, Mavis Willow, Jennie Shoulderblade, Rita, Ethelene Jefferson, Carrie White Antelope, Ramona M. Bell; nephews, Nelson White (Bonnie), Crawford White (Jackie), John Michael Antelope, Howard Antelope Jr., Joseph D. Antelope; numerous nieces and nephews; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The family apologizes if any family members were not included in the obituary.
