Philbert Neil McLeod, 71, passed away on January 15, 2016 in Casper, WY. A Visitation will be held from 5:00p.m.-8:30p.m, Wednesday, January 20th at Rocky Mountain Hall with a Wake to follow at the Family Home.Funeral Services will be held at 10:00a.m., Thursday, January 21st at Rocky Mountain Hall.

Philbert was born September 20, 1944 to Myers Coopooie and Evelyn McLeod in Lander, WY. Philbert grew up on the Wind River Indian Reservation attended Fort Washakie Elementary School, attended and graduated from renowned Haskell Institute in Lawrence, Kansas. He attended the University of Wyoming. He was an active participant in rodeos, winning multiple prizes as a saddle bronc rider. He was drafted into the Army September 1965 and in in 1967 he was discharged for disability from Fitzsimons Medical Center in Denver. Specialist McLeod received Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Star, Air Medal (2nd OLC W/C), Sharpshooter Badge (Rifle M-14), Marksman Badge (Pistol 45) and Purple Heart Medal.

Philbert is survived by his companion Gloria Antelope. Children, Kenny McLeod, Percille McLeod and Jacqueline McLeod; stepchildren, Anthony Hill Sr., Delores Cadotte and Frank Cadotte; sisters, Flora Tillman of Boulder Flats, Elaine McLeod of North Fork, and Verdalean (Larry) Ennis of SanTan, Arizona and Cecil Tindal of Ft. Hall, Idaho; grandchildren, Kevin Eagle, Preston McLeod, Jocelyn Enos, Rianne Enos, Salome Enos, Antoine Tidzump, Antonia Hill, Anthony Hill Jr., Timothy Hill, Russell Hill, Elway Hill, Cameron Hill and Rylan Hill.

Philbert was proceeded in death by parents, Myers Coopooie and Evelyn McLeod; grandparents James Coopooie and Pansy Edmo, Percy McLeod and Kitty Panzetanga; sisters Sannette Mcgill, Marry Harris, Aleta McLeod, Karen McLeod and Eldra Tindall; son, Ryan McLeod; grandchildren, Joellyn Eagle and Desarae Eagle; niece Benadean St. Clair; uncles Joe McLeod, Adolph Panzetanga; aunts Grace McLeod; cousins, Virgil McLeod, Clinton McLeod, Gary Moon Sr. and Nathaniel Moon.
