Norma Jean Laird

Norma Jean Schiver Laird went to be with her Lord and Savior, on October 1, 2012.Norma was born on June 21, 1928 to Ida Mae Pierott Schiver and Wilmer Schiver in LaGrange, MO. Norma married Robert Warren Laird July 25, 1948 at the Roberts Misson in Fort Washakie. Norma was very active in Grange, Windmill Homemakers, TOPS, Lander Quilting Guild, and her church.Norma enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and just spending time with her kids and grandkids. She worked for Mill Creek School, Lander Senior Center, and Westward Heights as a cook.She was a dedicated mother, wife, grandmother, great- grandmother (GG), sister , aunt, & friend.
Norma is survived by brother, Robert (Gwen) Tatum of Ellendale, ND; sister-in-law, Marion Rhodes of Placerville, CO; children, Sharon (Jim) Reighard of Anniston, AL, Ivan (companion, Glenda) Laird of Lander, WY, Anita (Steve) Snook of Wheatland, WY, Trina (Jody) Crawford of Chinook, MT, Randy Laird of Lander, WY,and Donnis (Cody) Wilcox of Amarillo, TX; 14 Grandchildren, 31 Great Grandchildren, 7 nieces/nephews and best friend Helen Cowdin.
Preceded in death by parents, Wilmer Schiver and Ida Pierott Schiver Tatum; step-father, Cullen Tatum; husband, Robert Warren Laird; and brother, Jim Tatum.
A Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm in the Chapel of Mount Hope, Hudson's Funeral Home, Lander, WY.
