Naomi Marie Sage, 73, of Ethete, Wyoming, journeyed home Wednesday, January 21, 2015, in her home with family present. An evening service will begin at 6:00 p.m. Monday, January 26, 2015 with a wake to follow at the family home, 436 Ethete Rd. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2015, also at the family home, under the direction of Hudson's Funeral Home of Lander. Internment will follow at the Sage-Redman Family Cemetery.
Naomi Sage was born September 15, 1941 in Ft. Washakie, Wyoming, daughter of Mary Ester and Merl Glick Sr. She attended school at lander Valley, Flandreu and earned her G.E.D. through the Learning Center/CWC in Ft. Washakie.
Naomi was a lifelong resident of Ethete; her family said she spent most of her time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is said to have enjoyed sewing, beading, crafting various traditional items, as well as creating tasty meals and baked goods. She worked many occupations until retirement.
Naomi is survived by her two sisters, Edith Griswald husband Ainor; Mary Jane Griego and brother Merl Glick Ir. Her cousins Tony Aragon wife Lillian and Nathelle Anthony. Her children, sons, Gerald Sage Jr. wife Annie; Pete Dumcombe wife Rhonda and Mevlin Goggles. Daughter Celeste Sage husband David Jumbo and many adopted children throughout the years. Grandchildren, Renee Sage companion A.J. Red Willow; Brooke Betancourt husband Pedro; Lamont Brown; Christine Perry and many many grandchildren. Great grandchildren; Damon Sage, Novalee Guina, Eveangeline Sage,
AnnaBella Sage, Alfred Red Willow III, Anthony Red Willow and also many many great-grandchildren. Numerous extended family, nieces and nephews.
Naomi was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Ester and Merl Glick Sr. A brother. Two nieces, Janet Marshall and Cori Enos. Several aunts and uncles. Son, Ira Whiteplume and husband of 52 years Gerald Sage Sr.
