Nancy "Jill" Holden was born December 23, 1944 to Edward and Melva Balzly in Payson UT. Jill passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by loved ones on June 26, 2024.

She attended Elementary School at Peteetneet and attended Payson High School through the 9th grade.

Jill worked at a local Payson ranch for several years during her youth.

In the late 1960's Jill Re-Connected with long time friend Wayne Holden. They were later married and moved to Lander Wyoming where they raised their 3 children.

Jill had a handful of jobs in Lander, including working at the Downtown Motel, American laundry, and Westward Heights Care Center where she spent 24 years before retiring.

Jill enjoyed hunting, fishing, embroidery work, and coloring. She would spend many hours a day out on her back deck watching the birds and squirrels. And occasionally yelling at the barking dogs to "Shut Up!".

Jill's favorite way to spend her time was with her family; visiting her siblings, attending family reunions, phone calls, and family barbecues. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She spent many hours caring for her grandchildren and teaching them important life skills, like signing their names in cursive! She enjoyed the boys' loud trucks and fast cars, and an occasional "Burn Out".

Jill's favorite Holiday was the 4th of July where you would find her watching the parade with her family. Eating a burnt hamburger and of course her famous potato salad. If you ever drove down Jefferson street on the 4th of July you have most likely been subjected to her hollering "DO A BURNOUT!!!"
