Nancy Nichols Gimple (Clark) of Lander died Saturday, July 29th, 2017 at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming. She was 82 years old. Memorial services will be at 10:00am on Saturday, August 12th at Faith Lutheran Church in Lander.
Nancy was born November 6, 1934 in Grand Island, Nebraska. She had two older sisters, Joann, and Kay. They spent their childhood in Grand Island, Nebraska. She graduated high school April 6, 1952.
On April 11, 1952, Nancy married Roland (Rolly) Gimple. They were married 65 years. They raised three wonderful children together. Steven Craig, Renee Kay and Edward George.
Nancy and Rolly moved to Lander, Wyoming in 1957.Nancy was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. Everyone who knew her was touched by her gentle, kind spirit. Her grandchildren fondly remember special tea parties, popcorn and movie nights, playing dress up with her fancy clothes and shoes, learning how to sew, making crafts, shopping trips, days out at the museum and the most fabulous family holiday gatherings. Nancy was involved with Does for many years, enjoyed making crafts for the yearly Faith Lutheran Church Bizarre and watching the Denver Broncos. Being involved in her community and helping others was a passion Nancy held dear to her heart.
She is survived by her husband, Rolly, her children, Steve and his wife Valri of Lakewood, Colorado, Renee Hancock and her husband Frank of Lander, Wyoming, Ed and his wife Wendy of Lander, Wyoming, her grandchildren, Sarah Heinrich and her husband Jeff, Kayla Deal and her husband Traux, Kelsie Gimple and her husband Henry Chavez, Lucas Gimple and Tiffiny, and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents George and Ruth Clark and her sisters Joann Hanchew and Kay Tanner.
