Myra Lucille Watt, 78, of Ethete, Wyoming died in her home on March 16, 2026. Visitation will begin 6:00 pm - 8:30pm, Friday, March 20, 2026 in the Blue Sky Hall. The All Night Wake will then move to the family home, 590 Ethete Road, Ethete. The Funeral Service will begin 10:00 am, Saturday, March 21, 2026 in the Blue Sky Hall. Burial will follow in the St. Michael's Mission Cemetery, Ethete.
Myra Lucille Watt was born January 4, 1948 in Ft. Washakie, Wyoming to Lillian Mae Chavez (Oldman) and William Watt. She made her journey to the Creator on March 16, 2026 surrounded by her family. Myra was a member of the Northern Arapaho Tribe. Her Northern Arapaho name was Singing Woman “Hisei Niibeii”.
Myra attended Mill Creek School and high school in Busby, Montana and graduated from Lander Valley High School. She worked for the Ethete Headstart for many years. Myra worked as a paraprofessional at Wyoming Indian Elementary School while earning her Bachelor’s of Elementary Education and ended her career as a kindergarten teacher. She worked with the students she loved for 30+ years. In 1967, she married Floyd “Bucky” Glenmore. They were later divorced.
She loved being around her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Myra loved supporting them in all the activities they were involved in. She was immensely proud of her great-grandson Donte Gambler and his Indian Relay team: Black Mountain Express. Myra was very active in sports. She spent many summers playing on the same softball team as her daughters Shanda and Mona and her sisters Arline and Vera. Myra’s nickname was “Scoop”. Myra’s favorite pastime was bowling. She bowled for 50 years and was frequently “King of the Hill”.
She is survived by her sons: Mylan, Sr. (Ava) and Shannon (Rhonda) Glenmore. Daughters: Mona Glenmore and Loula (Phil) Krause. Sisters: Arline Trosper, Theresa Marie Wells, and Delores Langerman. Brothers: Keith, Clarence, Marty (Arilda) Chavez and her close friend Marlee Robinson. Grandchildren: Mylan, Jr. “MyMy”, Raphael “Sugar Ray” Young Chief/Glenmore, Janessa Glenmore, Calley (Sherman) Valdez, Chanice Glenmore, Quannah (Andy) C’Hair, Chaleigha Morris-Glenmore, Laileia and Shaina Ute, Lily and Daron Krause. Great-Grandchildren: Kashis Alonzo and Paxton Dale Glenmore, Tataiyana, Ciara (Skyzon), and Donte Gambler, Aiyah C’Bearing, Rai’el Valdez, Chaunte and Joaquin Redman, Danaisha Brown, Ayannah, Arius, An’Jrue, and Alexander C’Hair, Ryder and Blayke Pedlar, Sam Her Many Horses, Jr. and Kyler Wagon. Great-Great-Grandchildren: Azaiah and Mezakiah Gambler, Kailani and Izzy Brown and one Great-Great-Granddaughter on the way; Nephews: Truman (Leta) Trosper, Vernon Spoonhunter, Alynn Kniffin, Alynn D. Chavez, William Jr. and Donnie Watt, Duane (Dawn) Oldman, Jr., Silas Little Bear; Nieces: Arlene Oldman, Rosie(Ernest) and Shelly Trosper, Donna (Dwight) Trosper-Ferris, Jolene Spoonhunter, Nicole Wagon, Tamara Dixon, and Marie Watt, Pamela and Polly Chavez, Patricia Oldman-Trosper, Donita StandingElk.
Myra was preceded in death by her parents Lillian Mae Chavez (Oldman), William Watt, Winifred Big Road and Joseph Chavez; Daughter; Shanda Glenmore; Brothers: William Watt, Sr., Donald Chavez, James and Duane Oldman, Winfred Hatt, Bruce Chavez, Isaac Chavez, Sr.; Sisters: Iris Oldman, Vera Trosper, Kathy Chavez, Pauline Kniffin and Alvena Oldman; Nephews: Matthew Watt, James and William Oldman, Chester Duane Oldman, RD Goggles, Michael Hatt, Gregory Trosper, Sr., Patrick Chavez, Dale Wayne Little Bear; Godson: Myron Chavez, Sr.; Nieces: Lanelle and Cathy Jo Goggles, and Valerie Chavez. Grandchildren: Andres’ C’Hair, Jeffrey Headley, Jocelyn Watt, Jade Wagon, Millani Watt, and Carlos Goodman-Chavez. In our time of grief, our family apologizes if we left anyone out.
