Mildred Mae Dierks, 88, of Riverton Wyoming, went to her heavenly home on February 9, 2017. A visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. on Friday, February 17th at the Bethel Lutheran Church with a Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 A.M.and a burial to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Lander.
Mildred was born in Hopwood, Pennsylvania on May 6, 1928. She was the daughter of Harry and Ruth Menhart. She had 4 sisters and 1 brother. She grew up in Smithfield, PA.She met Willis J. (Mac) McCully at a Grand National Trap shooting event in Vandalia, OH.They married in April of 1953. They had one son, J. Gregory McCully. In 1976, they moved to Wyoming where Mac and Mae purchased "The Gift Box" and renamed it "Mac's Gifts." Mac passed away in 1983 and Mae ran the store until 1987. In 1985, she married C. Larry Dierks and moved to Riverton, WY.
She and Larry enjoyed camping and spending time with their family. She was very fond of her church family and enjoyed going to church functions. She was an avid baker and would bake thousands of cookies every Christmas, giving away cookies to everyone.
She is survived by her husband, Larry; her son Greg and wife Debbie; her grandson Jack and his wife Kelly; and her grandson, Glen, one sister, one brother and her nieces and nephews.
