Mildred Viola (Meade) (Gibson) Snyder, 85, of Fort Washakie, Wyoming died Wednesday, July 4, 2018 peacefully at her home, she was battling a lengthy illness. A Visitation will take place at 9:00 a.m. one hour prior to the 10:00 a.m. Funeral Service on Monday, July 9, 2018 at Rocky Mountain Hall in Fort Washakie. Burial will be in the Snyder Cemetery on South Fork Road at the Snyder Ranch. Feast to follow at Rocky Mountain Hall after the burial.
Mildred (Beanie) was born December 15, 1932 in Morton, Wyoming to Rena (Deshaw) Gibson and John B. Gibson of Pennsylvania. She was the wife to rancher Ben Snyder Sr., they were married April 17, 1948 at the Lander Court House.
She loved gardening, canning, picking berries, quilting, family and traveling.
She is survived by her daughters, Arleen J. LeClair and Family, Judy (Sonny) LeClair and Family, Roxann Phillips and Family; her son, Ben (Marie) Snyder Jr. and Family. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Aragon and Family; and her good friend and caretaker Phyllis LeClair.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ben Snyder Sr.; mother, Rena Marie (Deshaw) Lynn; father, John B. Gibson; son, Stephen Wayne Snyder; and daughter, Fern Delilah (Snyder) Schneider.
