Michael J. Harmon

Michael J. Harmon passed away with family at his side in Salt Lake City on June 3, 2021.

He was born February 16, 1954 to Guy E. Harmon, Jr. and Margaret (Gaughan) Harmon in Easton, MD.

Since his graduation from Evergreen High School he had lived in Denver, Phoenix and Gillette settling in Lander in 1988. He worked for the phone company for 39 years retiring in 2018.

On September 28, 1991 he married the love of his life Debra Dempster.

Michael was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his family and friends, the 4th of July and his dog Joe,

Survivors include his wife Debra, sons Shane (Jennifer), Jake (Lynnden), Bruce and David, sister Margaret, brothers Guy (Deb), Thomas (Noy), Phillip (Erika), grandchildren Justin, Brody, Fredde, Lacey and Triston, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, his aunt Anita, cousins and his many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother John and his beloved dog Joe.

Michael will be sorely missed by all who loved him.

A BBQ celebrating Mike's life will be held on the 4th of July starting at 12pm at 505 S. 7th Street Lander. Burgers and Brats provided. Bring a side dish and a chair. BYOB.
