Michael Carl Fessler (Mike), 50, of Lakewood, Colorado, passed away on June 12th after a sudden illness at Porter Adventist Hospital in Denver, Colorado.
Mike was born in Denver Colorado to Edith and Carl Fessler on June 4th 1969. Mike went to high school at Alameda High School in Lakewood Colorado and Lander Valley High School in Lander, Wyoming and graduated in 1987. He went on to work in retail in Lander, Wyoming before moving back to Denver to take classes in guitar and music. Mike went on to work various jobs in Denver before working for the State of Colorado for 15 years with the DMV. He enjoyed playing hockey, going to concerts, attending local sporting events, going to movies, reading books, spending time with his close friends and family, playing trivia, collecting comic books and memorabilia. He was also an avid hockey fan and loved attending games.
Mike is survived by his three sisters, Sarah Fessler, Susan Fessler, and Catherine (Ken) Persson all from Lander, Wyoming, and his brother Phillip (Whitney) of Jackson, Wyoming; his nieces Amber, Arianne, Scarlett, Hannah and Alison; aunts Anne and Ona and numerous cousins. He also leaves behind numerous great and close friends including his best friend Klaus (Christi) Gebhard whom he considered a brother. He is preceded in death by his parents Edith and Carl Fessler and grandparents, Bertie and Sequoya (Phillip) Fox and Francis Tabor and Carl Fessler, Sr.
Remembrance service will be held at the Archdiocese of Denver at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Wheatridge Colorado on Saturday June 29th, 2019 from noon until 4 pm. Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019, 10:00 AM at Chapel of Mount Hope, Hudson's Funeral Home, 680 Mount Hope Drive, Lander, Wyoming.
