Michael Robert East

Michael Robert East, of Lander, WY passed away at his home on May 5, surrounded by his loving family, 3 days shy of his 66th birthday.
Mike was born at Bishop Randall Hospital in Lander to Edward Calvin East and Ellen Maye (Hamilton) East on May 8, 1953.
Mike worked at the Wyoming State Training School for over 25 years and then owned and operated his own appliance repair service business for over 15 years.
Mike was united in marriage to Ellen (LeMaster) East on May 9, 1992.They were fortunate to be able to travel and take several trips and cruises with good friends over the years. In Mikes retired years he enjoyed bowling and golfing and was an active member of the Lander Golf Course board.He also enjoyed driving for Fremont Motors.
Mike was well known by his friends and family for his quick wit and sense of humor, which would sometimes get him into trouble.
Mike leaves behind his loving wife Ellen (LeMaster) East of Lander, WY;sister Ellen Dillon (Rich) of Goodlettsville, Tennessee; brother Edward Calvin East; daughter Jessica East of Lander; (step)daughter Neeley (Bartlett) Schwindt(Rodney) of Fort Collins, CO; grandchildren Nathanael Schwindt of Fort Collins, CO, Patricia (Schwindt) Saunders (Paul) of Walsenburg, CO, Jessica (Schwindt) Dreiling(John) of Orlando, FL and Josiah Schwindt of Ellsworth AFB, SD.Mike was preceded in death by his parents and brother Paul William East.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, May 10, at 11:00 a.m. at Hudsons Funeral Home in Lander.
