Mike married and had his sons Jeremiah and Joshua while living in New Mexico in the late 70's and early 80's while working for the phone company. Mike then moved to Denver, Colorado in the early 80's continuing his work for the phone company and had his youngest son, Gene.

Mike was an avid musician. He had a great love for the guitar and drums. He loved music, but rock'n roll and country were in his heart and soul.

Mike also had an adventurous side to him, fishing the rivers and lakes wherever he lived. Camping and campfires were always enjoyed whenever possible.

His love for his pets was endearing and kindness to all animals of all kinds made Mike so very special. He is missed and loved dearly.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Darrell "Pete" Allen, Step-father, Hugh Mewes, and several aunts, uncles, grandparents and dear friends.

There will be a celebration of his life with family and close friends this summer.
