Mary Catherine Slifko

Mary Catherine (Herold) Slifko passed away June 6, 2022 in Riverton, WY. She was born on Dec. 19, 1931 in Johnston, PA and married John Slifko June 15, 1954 in Maryland. They made their home in PA, Mass., NJ, NY, and finally WY. Mary was a homemaker, but also worked for a newspaper, Lennox China, as a school bus driver, a bank teller, and for the Grandparent school program for 27 years. Every Christmas season from 1995 – 2021, Mary would fill her garage with mountain scenes, towns, and other settings for the school children to enjoy as her many trains steamed along. She loved the outdoors, photographing scenes, and wildlife. Her flowers grew abundantly due to her tender care.

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband John in 1995. She is survived by her daughter, Maryann Patton of Lander, WY.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, June 24, at the Chapel of Mount Hope (Hudson's Funeral Home) located at 680 Mount Hope Drive, Lander, WY 82520.
