Marcia Snively, born on March 14, 1947, in Pendleton, Oregon, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2026, at the Wyoming Life Resource Center in Lander, Wyoming surrounded by many friends.
Born into a family involved in the lumber industry, Marcia’s early life was shaped by hard work and close‑knit community values. That same industry eventually led her to Big Piney, Wyoming, where she spent many years contributing to the community.
Marcia was a woman of quiet talents and steady dedication. She enjoyed reading and needlepoint, finding comfort and creativity in both. Marcia enjoyed church and attended regularly. Throughout her life, she worked in several roles that reflected her reliability and strong work ethic, including positions as a waitress, at the library, the post office, and with a survey company. In every role, Marcia was known for her kindness, her steady presence, and her willingness to help others.
Marcia is survived by her son, Bill, who will carry her memory forward with love.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on August 31, 2026, at the WLRC Chapel. Burial will take place near Big Piney, Wyoming, at a later date.
Marcia will be deeply missed, and her memory will remain a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Jerri Ann Chander, one of Marcia’s lifelong friends, and to Susan Grant, her guardian, for their care, support, and devotion.
