Luella (Myers) Meyers, of Boulder Flat, Lander, died on March 2, 2007. She was cremated. She has been placed with her husband and there will be a Visitation 11:30am to 12:30pm, Friday, May 7, 2021 in the foyer of Hudson's Funeral Home, please limit guests inside to 2-4 at a time. The Graveside Service for both husband and wife will then be 1:00pm, at the Mount Hope Cemetery.
Luella (Myers) Meyers of rural Lander (Boulder Flat), died at home March 2, 2007. She was 76 years old. She was a life time resident of the Wind River Reservation and enrolled member of the Eastern Shoshone Tribe.
Luella was born March 24, 1930 at Fort Washakie, Wyoming, the daughter of Thomas Myers and Mary (Aragon) Myers. She attended grade school in the Ethete (Mill Creek) area, and went to high school in Lander at Fremont Vocational High School.
On April 24, 1948 she married Eugene E. Meyers at Thermopolis, Wyoming. She was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary at Fort Washakie, active member of the Lander VFW Auxiliary. She also bowled in leagues in Lander for several years, traveling to a lot of national bowling tournaments to bowl or accompany her husband. She was an avid rock hound, raised gardens, planted outdoor flowers, enjoyed having house plants, doing word puzzles, and collecting plates of the states she traveled to.
Luella was a waitress in Dubois, Lander, and Casper. She also worked at the Mill Creek Elementary School in the kitchen, Wyoming State Training School as an aide, and was a house wife.
Luella is survived by her husband of 58 years, Eugene E. Meyers; son, Terry E. Meyers, Charles Flute; daughter, Erma K. Meyers; grandson, Thomas E. Meyers and Kari Nelson, all of Boulder Flat; daughter-in-law, Charon A. Meyers of Lander; brother, John T. Meyers of Lander.
Luella is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mary Myers; grandparents,; sisters, Juanita Cashen, Marie LeBeau, Maryanne Alberson, Alene (Pansky) McKee, Ruby Anderson and Pearl Tack; brothers, Louis Bishop and Pete Padia.
