Lorraine Ida Bradford, age 54, of Crowheart, passed away October 22, 2008 at her home in Crowheart after a lengthy battle with Cancer. Lorraine was born November 24, 1953 in Lander to Lincoln W. Bradford and Lily Jean Yourick. She spent most of her life in Crowheart, graduating in 1972 from the Wind River High School.
Lorraine
had four children and loved spending time with family and friends. She had been married twice first to Lamont Brown, later divorcing, and marrying John P. Kennah.
She also loved sewing, crafts, spending time in her yard, working on the ranch, especially working with horses and cattle. She enjoyed the four years she spent working for the Shoshone Gaming Commission, worked for the Social Services of the Shoshone Tribe, and also worked at the Big Wind Hall.
Much of her time was spent with her mother in Crowheart. She attended the St Helen's Episcopal Church of Crowheart.
Survivors include daughters, Donna and Ida Brown; son, John Kennah; mother, Lily J. Bradford and companion Jim Large; grandchildren, Brody Miller, Tristin Miller, Morgan Miller, Leo Johnson, Frankie LaSalle, Hailey Salway, Gordon Brown, and Hope Roman; niece, Vivian Chamberlain; nephew, James Harvey. And many other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by daughter, Mary Kay Brown; husband, John P. Kennah; father, Lincoln W. Bradford; sister, Rose Mary Bradford; divorced husband, Lamont F. Brown; grandparents, William and Rosie Yourick, and Arthur and Mary Bradford; uncles, Greeley La Jeunesse, Gordon La Jeunesse, and Wayne Yourick.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, October 29, 2008 in Crowheart at the Big Wind Hall. Visitaion will be from 10:00 – 11:00am before the services begin.
