Lois Fink Livingston, 92, passed away in her sleep at Wind River Healthcare in Riverton, Wyoming on March 17th, 2012. Lois was born to Della (Bryan) and Leland Fink on August 27th, 1919 in Hale, Missouri.
Lois graduated from high school in 1937 and while visiting relatives in Wyoming she met Bruce Culver Livingston. They married on October 6th, 1940 in Avalon, Missouri and made their home in Upton, Wyoming. In 1946 the couple moved to Montezuma, Iowa and operated a dairy farm until 1963 when they moved to Lander, Wyoming. They had two children while living in Wyoming and five more in Iowa. Lois worked at J.C. Penny's for many years and after retirement, she cared for the infant children of many Lander families and was fondly known as Grandma Lois to all. She also enjoyed traveling, needlepoint, her beautiful flower gardens and attending the sporting events of her grandchildren. She was on a bowling team well into her 80's and volunteered at the Methodist Thrift Shop.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bruce, brother Delbert Fink and son Roger Scott Livingston.
Lois is survived by five daughters, Judith Reams (Bill) of Vinton, Iowa, Nancy Arbaugh (Tim) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Sarah Heyen of Laramie, Wyoming, Jennifer Peterson (Dale) and Melissa Brasel of Lander, Wyoming, son Bryan Livingston (Patti) of Riverton, Wyoming, sister Joyce Hook (Ralph) of Honolulu, Hawaii. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
The funeral will be held on Monday, March 26th at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church with interment to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
