Linda Dawn Dowie

Linda Dawn Dowie passed away March 10 following a lengthy battle with Rheumatoid Arthritis, she was 63. It was her wish to be cremated and a Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, March 29th at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Hope Cemetery in Lander.
Linda was born May 27, 1952 In Casper, Wyoming to Joe and Maudie Kenney.
Linda was inspired at age 40 to go to nursing school after watching the care her father received from nurses toward the end of his life.She graduated from the Central Wyoming College nursing program with her R.N. degree and then later went on to become a Physician's Assistant.She worked in California for four years as a P.A. at a mission serving homeless and underprivileged people. She later practiced at a clinic and hospital in Gillette, Wyoming until her illness forced her retirement.
Linda is survived by her mother, Maudie Kenney, husband of 37 years Ed Dowie, son Kenny Moon and wife Nicole, and nephew Abe Kenney all of Lander, daughter Kelly James and husband George, of Cheyenne, two step-children Sean and Michael Dowie of Florida, her brother and sister-in-law Joe and Andrea Kenney, of Lander, brother Dale and sister-in-law Denise Kenney, of Michigan, and seven grandchildren.
