Marie peacefully left this world on Sunday afternoon, September 13, 2026, at her home in Lander, Wyo., at 68 years of age. She was born in Glasgow, MT, in August 1958 to parents William and Sandra Isbell. She was the middle child, with an older and a younger brother.
Marie was mostly raised in Libby, Montana, where she met her husband, Dennis Brossman. Their 50th anniversary was this past March. They moved to Lander in 1985 and raised three children.
Marie worked for the last 19 years at Atlantic City Federal Credit Union (Grand Altitude), where she recently retired. She met many close friends there and built strong bonds.
She loved to travel to Indy and NASCAR races and attend rock concerts, especially The Rolling Stones, with Dennis and her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and her church and Lord Jesus. Her amazing pies were requested at every gathering.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Sandy, and Marie's beloved son, Dietrich.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis; children, Alicia Marie (Mrs. Larry Fitzpatrick) and Aryan Schuyler Brossman. She is also survived by grandchildren, Alex (Mrs. Jordan Pfennig), Braxton Lajeunesse, Jeff Lajeunesse, Daniel, twins Sarah and Schuyla, and Jeremiah Brossman. There are also four great-grandchildren: Arlo Sherman, Henley, Lennon, and Jovie Pfennig, who arrived just minutes after Marie's passing.
Marie leaves behind her brothers, Pat Isbell and his wife Cindy, and Mike Isbell, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Marie will always be remembered for her quiet, dependable strength and gentle spirit. As her favorite singer, Stevie Nicks, says, "How the tears dry on my face and leave behind them only ashes - the beauty of you was just a dream, memories, earthquakes, and flashes."
At Marie's request, a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
