Lenora Sellers Yardas, age 92, passed away on January 5th, 2026.

She was born on August 14, 1933, in Rock Springs, Wyoming, to James Albert and Lillian Pass Sellers. Lenora attended schools in Rock Springs and was a graduate of Rock Springs High School, Class of 1951.

Lenora married Albert E. Yardas on December 13, 1951, in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple on July 13, 1978. The couple lived in Sheridan, Wyoming, from November 1986 until September 1998, when they moved to Lander, Wyoming. They shared 64 years of marriage until Albert’s passing in 2016.

Lenora was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in numerous callings, including Sunday School, Primary, Young Women, and Relief Society. She was also a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.

She worked for the law firm of Magagna and Galicich from 1951 to 1973, and later served as Executive Secretary at Rock Springs National Bank from 1973 until her move to Sheridan in 1986.

Lenora was preceded in death by her devoted and beloved husband, Albert Yardas; her sister, Clarice Williams; and her parents.

She is survived by her son, Vincent Yardas (Jan Terito) of Louisiana; her granddaughters, Anjelika (Aaron) Patton of Billings, Montana; Jennifer Yardas of Sheridan, Wyoming; Kirsten (Dino) Behler of Louisiana; Sarah (Ryan) Lore of Texas; and her grandson, Adam (Lauren) Sibley of Florida. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren: Logan and Mason Patton; Mia and Olive Lore; and Dino, Bryce, and Brendyn (Behler) of Louisiana. She is also survived by her dedicated and dear friend, Fay O’Rourke of Colorado.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the many friends who became family to Nonie, especially the Kitchen and Whiting families. They also extend heartfelt thanks to Enhabit Hospice for the compassionate care provided to Nonie in her final months and the staff at Westward Heights for the care they provided in the last three weeks.

In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held. Cremation has taken place.
