Larry Herbert Smith

5/7/1971 – 3/15/2021

Larry was born in Klamath Falls, Oregon, May 7 th , 1971 to Larry M. and Vickie L. (Denson) Smith.

Larry was a beautiful baby, tiny and loving. He has a younger brother that he loved very much and always stood up for.

In 1981, his family moved to Rock Springs, Wyoming where his dad got a job at Jim Bridger Power Plant.  As a family, they did a lot of sightseeing and camping.

Larry participated in Special Olympics and was successful in winning a lot of medals.  When Larry turned 21, his schooling was done and he went to live at SWRC for the handicapped. While living there, he had an extensive pull-tab collection from cans. This was not his Happy Place.

Larry moved to Lander, Wyoming and lived at Wyoming Life Resource Center. Larry loved it there, he found his Happy Place! The campus had everything he needed. He had a job, his own space and best of all, his own bicycle. He liked the staff and all of his friends. He loved listening to Michael Jackson, country music, watching TV and especially WWE wrestling.

Larry will be missed by his parents, Larry M. and Vickie Smith, his brother Jed and wife Alona;  nephew Tristin and wife Anamarie and their son Bellamy and daughter Evony; nieces Mercedes, Kaylee and Sanaya Smith all of Rock Springs, Wyoming; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins of Klamath Falls, Oregon; and his many friends from WLRC.

Larry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Patsy Denson, Herbert and Helen Smith and Charlene Allen.

Larry was truly special!

Private family services have been held and Larry was laid to rest at Wyoming Life Resource Center Cemetery, Lander, Wyoming.
