Kerry Dineen Moon, 40, of Fort Washakie, Wyoming died on February 6, 2016 in Riverton, Wyoming. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday February 18th at the Chapel of Mount Hope Hudson's Funeral Home in Lander.
Kerry Dineen Moon was born January 22, 1976 to Gary Moon Sr. and Leah Aragon in Lander, Wyoming.
Kerry graduated and was the Valedictorian at Chemawa Indian School in 1994 in Salem Oregon. She graduated from the University of Montana in Billings. She obtained her Master's Degree at the University of Wyoming. She was a member of many honorable organizations. She worked for Indian Child Welfare and Shoshone Higher Education.
She was preceded in death by her brothers; Christopher Moon, Shawn Aragon; Ivan Kniffin Jr.; sisters, Darlene Day; nephew, Duane Day; grandparents, Tony Aragon Sr. and Alice Sorrelle; father, Gary Moon Sr.
Survivors include children, Presley Heavy Runner and Nathan Market; mother, Leah Aragon; sisters, Rebecca Gurtelle of California, and Angela O'Connell of Alaska; niece, Darlene Kniffin; nephew, Ian Kniffin; niece, Ellen Kniffin; Lilayne Herrera and Family; uncle Tony Aragon and Lillian Aragon; aunts Roberta Porria of Oregon; Sylvia Dupior of Washington; Bobby Aragon and family; Levi Aragon; David Meyers and Family; Jason Stacey and Family, Close family friend Frances Blackburn and family; friends, Theresa Friday and Toby Braten; Joyce Posey and family; Angie Shoyo and Family, Uncle Curtis Moon and Uncle Lyle Ute Jr.; brother, Lloyd Tillman; cousins Sheri Moon and Delberta Hurtado. Brother, Zane and Melody Peche and many other friends and relatives.
